The mother of “Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts passed away last night. Today was supposed to be Robin Roberts’ last day before medical leave for a bone marrow transplant.
Instead Robin left a day early to travel home to visit her 88-year-old ailing mother in Mississippi; and she made it just in time.
Robin’s mother, Lucimarian Roberts, was the first African-American to head Mississippi’s board of education. She also collaborated with her daughter on a book titled, “My Story, My Song — Mother-Daughter Reflections on Life and Faith.”
This is one of those times when we can’t help but think, “My God how much more can one person take?” Our prayers and condolences go out to Robin and her family.
